Weekend Recap

Thank you all for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in the wake of my family’s tragedy. I’m truly touched.

Friday night we had a crowd of family and friends over to hang out and take our minds off of things. We played games, reminisced about our misspent youth and just generally enjoyed each other’s company.

Saturday we had another gathering at my aunt and uncle’s house to have a late lunch and some birthday cake for my dad. After the feast, we attended my son’s last basketball game. They lost, but they sure played hard. The evening was filled with more games and revelry.

Sunday was actually my father’s birthday, so we took him to the movies and out to dinner. We watched taken, which was an action-packed, kick butt and take no prisoners kind of movie. We all enjoyed it and for dinner we gathered at Logan’s Steakhouse for a hearty feast.

So, what have you been up to?

James it is good to hear your family has been having some fun after the tragedy you all have suffered. My prayers are still with you and your family.

Around here we are gearing up for a fun filled week of football Spring practice and a two night revival at church. Today I am cleaning the house like it is already Spring and getting ready to go back to work later in the week or next week.

Hope you have a great day/week!

Watched it snow all day yesterday. Today? Watching the wind blow. Wind chill this morning was -1. Writing. Doing the stuff that we do.

I'm glad that you spent time with your family. That's the most important thing we can do.
