Two Tales of Terror

I have a new book out. Well a new book that is comprised of two titles that were previously only available in e-book format. So, if you if you’ve wanted to read either of these stories, but just couldn’t bring yourself to take the plunge into e-books, now’s your chance.

Tuttle's House of Horror with Drums of the Nunne'hi: Two Tales of Terror in One was recently released by Resplendence Publishing. Here is a blurb:

Tuttle's House of Horror: Tyler Duke thinks opening the infamous Tuttle House on Halloween will provide a weekend of thrills and chills for curiosity seekers. If all goes well, Tyler and his friends will earn enough money to spend spring break in Cancun. But someone else has taken up residence in the old mansion, and he has a plan of his own...

Drums of the Nunne’ hi: Carl and Jessica fell for each other during their final year of high school. Unfortunately, they come from different worlds. The people of their small Oklahoma town were taught from an early age that they should steer clear of the kids from the Cherokee reservation, and the animosity flows both ways. Carl's mother is heartbroken to learn that her only son has strayed from his people by falling in love with a white girl, while Jessica's family sees any relationship with a 'Rez Kid' as the ultimate betrayal-and they want Carl to pay for their daughter's mistake.

The masses are calling these stories edgy YA, but sure to appeal to suspense enthusiasts of any age.

Weekend Recap

Sorry folks. I just haven’t been able to bring myself to spend much time on here lately. I’m hoping to change that and soon. Maybe even this week. I’ve been reading, writing a bit on a new novel and just spending time with family and friends. It’s been a month now, but I still felt the incredible need to keep my mind occupied. If I let my mind roam, it seems to take me to a rather dark place.

This weekend was a bit easier and I hope it continues the trend. I’ve started removing things from my home that remind me of him. I keep them; I just don’t have them displayed as a constant reminder of our loss.

Spring is coming and with it the thunderstorms to wash away my woes and the last vestiges of winter. I’m ready for warmth, I’m ready for fun, and I’m ready for summer. This week should be the last time we drop into the 30s (well, at least I hope so). We should be ready to start spending some time at the lake within the next couple of weeks. It may be too cold to actually get in the water, but we can still enjoy being outdoors.

Oh and before I forget… My friend and one helluva writer David Niall Wilson has written me into a screenplay he is posting on his blog in segments. You can check it out Here.

But enough about me… what have you been up to while I was away?

Weekend Recap

It’s official… I’ve been Examined. Click on the link to read my interview. I’d like to thank Maddie James for conducting the interview. It was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy it as well.

As for the weekend, it was fun-filled and action-packed as usual. We went to a hockey game on Friday, which was an interesting treat. It was the first time I’d attended one of these things since I was thirteen or so. It is amazingly graceful even with all the body checks, fights and flying pucks.

Saturday morning we headed down to the gym for a good sweat. It worked out quite nicely as it gave may a killer appetite for the cookout we had that afternoon. After the food was scarfed down, we had a marathon session of Guitar Hero (the complete kit with drums, guitar, bass and microphone) that lasted into the wee hours of the morning.

Sunday was a lazy day, we ran some errands and just generally kept it low key. We were sorely tempted to take the boat out (it is finally warming up around here), but the fear of one more hard freeze outweighed the joy of being on the water, so we will wait a bit longer.

So, how was your weekend?

Weekend Recap

Thank you all for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in the wake of my family’s tragedy. I’m truly touched.

Friday night we had a crowd of family and friends over to hang out and take our minds off of things. We played games, reminisced about our misspent youth and just generally enjoyed each other’s company.

Saturday we had another gathering at my aunt and uncle’s house to have a late lunch and some birthday cake for my dad. After the feast, we attended my son’s last basketball game. They lost, but they sure played hard. The evening was filled with more games and revelry.

Sunday was actually my father’s birthday, so we took him to the movies and out to dinner. We watched taken, which was an action-packed, kick butt and take no prisoners kind of movie. We all enjoyed it and for dinner we gathered at Logan’s Steakhouse for a hearty feast.

So, what have you been up to?
