Friday 55

Welcome to Friday 55. The object of the game is to write a story using exactly 55 words. If you participate, be sure to drop a comment at G-Man’s blog so others will know how to find your story.

Sunlight makes drops of dew glisten as it breaks the horizon. The air is still, but overflowing with the fragrance of spring. Birds sing. Crickets chirp. A dog barks in the distance. Others join in, creating a wave of sound moving my way. Something’s coming, something big. Today is going to be a good day.

I also wanted to remind everyone that I’m blogging over at Oh, Get a Grip! tomorrow. This week’s topic is Tough Love or the art of saying “no” as it sometimes boils down to being.

You are borderline schizo!
Your 55 was soothing, descriptive, and peacefully tranquil.
Your Tuttle blurb was equally disturbing in a horrific way...
That's what makes a writer such as yourself so talented and versatile!
Great job on both...
Have a YAHTZEE week-end..

What a positive 55. :) And you shoulda seen the funny looks I got when retro country revved up with your blog page. I'm sitting in Panera and you came on full blast. LOL. I was rushing to turn it down.

lol, was it the Johnny Cash? That's actual him doing a cover of a Soundgarden song. :D I love that one, sorry you startled the other patrons. :D

Oh, we can order this? Please have it delivered to Salt Lake City area for Saturday through Monday. Then the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area starting on the 28th and going until I say stop, followed by the central Arkansas area, again, until I say stop... Yeah.

I love mornings like this. Everything's electric and it sweeps over you so you're caught up in the current.

Or something like that. *returns to being bleak and dreary*

lol, I'll see what I can do. Are you going to be in Tulsa soon, smarmy?

Very good 55! We are experiencing the Spring like weather but some places aren't and I think your description here will give them a taste of what will soon come their way.

Have a great weekend!

lol, it's hard to get there, ciara, but it's worth it once you arrive. :D

Thank, Breazy. I hope you have a great weekend too. :D

Good comment: It seems like the sound of spring! :)

Cryptic stupid cynic critic comment: Dog barking? you are mistaken, it must be the bitch... success is a bitch...

Ain't I Terrible?

There was a little girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead.

When she was good
She was VERY good
But when she was bad
She was HORRID!

Hey James.. have a great weekend! :)

Corrigendum: Make 'her' start with an Upper case... ( Success) ... she is a noun here...:D

How apt!

this 55 is more than a number! LOL

It's a phenomenon...

Yes, I'll be there... um... *counts the days*... I leave here (Salt Lake City) on Tuesday morning, and will be overnighting in Colorado Springs that night, hopefully. On Wednesday I'll drive toward Tulsa. I might get a room in Wichita and finish the drive on Thursday, though. So, arriving the 28th or 29th, depending on if I stop in Wichita. I'm planning to be in Tulsa at least for a day, maybe several. Depends on how much my hostess wants to be a hostess, and how much I want to be a guest.

My first exposure to Friday 55 and boy was this an impressive one.

I think I'll join...I'll have to see if I can come up with something coherent with only 55...or ran out of words before it.
