Friday 55

Alright folks, the object of the exercise is to write a story using exactly 55 words. Susie is the one that started it all, so be sure to drop by her site as well.

Clouds roll in, a storm on the hunt. It will not rest until it can release its pent up energy. Shadows spread, chewing up streets, marking its territory as the power builds. Darkness rules, the sun turns away, unable to bear witness. With a mighty roar, it unleashes it’s fury, cleansing the world once more.

It is strange, how it always needs a storm to 'cleanse' the world...

Your expression is wonderfully fluid. I love the way you personify Shadows & Darkness & the Storm. Excellent use of literary devices I must say..:)

Indeed, I've always thought of storms as a cleansing force...for so many things.

I really appreciate that, Mona.

I can't wait for summer to bring it's thunderstorms through. There is nothing like a good summer thunderstorm at the end of a smoldering day. Great 55!

Btw...I am almost finished with your book, I will email you when I complete it, hopefully that will be this weekend!

Have a great weekend!

Wow that sounds just like the quick and sudden rain storm we had today..JUST as I was unloading my basket of uneccessary plastic objects in the Tarjayyyy parking lot!

Have a good weekend James!

lol, I hate when that happens. It's the only time I really don't like the rain. During the spring you're likely to finding me out playing in it like a little kid. :D
