Weekend Recap

We had a deliciously quiet weekend. Saturday my wife ran just shy of twenty miles (did I mention she is training for her first marathon?). After that, she wasn’t up for much else for the rest of the day. We watched a few movies, read and played a few games as a family. It was a fine way to spend the day.

Sunday was rainy, grey, chilly and just all around dismal outside, so we laid up, played games, read and watched football. I managed to get a fair amount of writing done as well. We also piled into the hot tub for a nice relaxing soak and stir.

Sometimes, a weekend like this is just what the doctor ordered.

How was your weekend?

What else could we do yesterday with it being so nasty? Great football weather though!

I also would like to know about how you protect the boot.

We spent Saturday morning at the vets with the sicko French cat. Nothing like socializing at the vets. Sunday we had the same drizzly, wet weather -- the only thing that makes me stay indoors and get something done, which wasn't much. I love to goof off too much.

I don't know where the weekend went, but it's long gone. Heading to T-town on Thursday.

Take care, James.

You go, Mrs. G! Good for you! I can't run around the block (shin splints).

Beautiful rainy day here. Good day to eat chili. I love all the fall comfort foods ... too much, I'm afraid. I just want to devour them all at once.

That sounds like a... hay ol' time, Lime. :D sorry for the corny joke, it really does sound like fun.

It's a great way to spend the weekend eh, Bernita?

That doesn't sound fun at all, mom.

That it is, Carrie. I didn't do anything to protect it, I just dried it out when I got home. :(

Ah, sorry to hear that, EA. Is your kitty all better now?

Jerry, it looks like your in for some famous Okie rollacoaster weather.

Ah, yeah, when it gets cold, I get the mega itch to cook, Leisa. I don't cook chili though. I usually load my family up with manicotti, Lasagna, spaghetti and a slew of other pasta and meat dishes. :D
