Friday 55

The surgery went well. In recovery, I had my standard reaction. Wait let me back up, it seems that anesthesia brings out my dark side. I have a nasty habit of coming up swinging, snarling and just generally making an ass out of myself. They said (and I’ll have to take their word for it as I don’t exactly remember that part) that they had to have a couple of people me in the bed until I calmed down. My wife must have been so proud…

Anyhoo, this is going to be very short as my leg hurts…a lot. I just wanted to let everyone know that I made it through the surgery just fine.

I have a special guest for our Friday 55. Since, my creative mind is more than a little hindered at the moment by painkillers, my mom (the almost famous Linda Goodman) wrote this weeks entry.

Thrown in the sea, bound and gagged. I slowly open my swollen eyes to see, but there is no one to help me. The darkness is all around. Soon the creatures will devour me. No one will miss me or even know I’m gone. Tomorrow the sun will come up and day will go on.

I am first ! wOOt! LOL! I am so glad to hear that the surgery went well . Reguarding the act after surgery , that is a great way to get pretty nurses in your bed , smart thinking ! LOL! Just kidding ! My brother always reacts the same way and he has made a total ass out of himself . He had to have his galbladder removed a year ago and when he woke up he was in a mood . The doctor was trying to check him and my brother screams " quit showing everyone my balls for god sakes"! The bad part about that was that he was in the hallway before they strolled him to his room . I was so embarrassed but I giggled like a school girl because it was hilarious ! You get some rest and take care of your self!

Wow! I see where your talent comes from!

wow! now i see who nurtured all your talent! thanks so much for sharing your mom with us!

i'm glad to hear the surgery went well. all things done when coming out of anesthesia can be forgiven. although i hope you didn't leave any teeth marks of bruises and glad i wasn't your roommate, teehee.

also, i say blog under the influence of the painkillers. it makes for some wild posts.

Never, ever blog under the influence. Been there, done that. Tehe.

I'm glad things went well and your upset can be excused. Just like being intoxicated...those things are always excused.

You mom is fantastic. I loved it but it made me feel sad.

Yay, you're back, mostly in one piece. The hard part is over. Now you can just chill and enjoy having everyone wait on you hand and Achilles heel. What shall be his Highness' first request? Ice cream? Pizza and an ice cold brew? I know! More pain killers!

Yep, it's clear where your talent comes from (waves to your mom / Hi Mrs. Goodman). I, for one, hope James lets you guest star more frequently.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words towards my mother's 55 entry.

Second, thank you all for caring about how my surgery and subsequent recovery is going.

If I don't get a chance to say so again this weekend. I hope everyone has a great labor day weekend. Get out there and have fun for me. :D

No! NO! James, jump in and save your mother now!
You still have the other leg!

That was excellent, mommy! XX

Glad the surgery went well. My Mom takes forever to come out of anesthesia, and she hallucinates. But she doesn't come out swinging.

Get well soon!

The in-laws are here! Get all healed up so you can come visit too.

lol, i would saver her, Susie.

Oh, hallucinations? that must be aweful. I hope she doesn't have to have surgery every again. I've only had hallucinations once mine were brought on by a 105+ fever, but I never want to experience that again.

cool, cuz. Tell them I said hey.

Good grief! I had to read down to see what went wrong with your leg, and ugh! You made my guts roll over with your achilles description.

Get well, mate.

James I am going to be doing basically what you are doing except I won't have an injury . This has been one busy weekend for me and I am ready to chill out on Monday . You just take care of that foot/ankle/leg and enjoy your time with your family!

Glad that's over and they didn't dick around getting you into surgery.
