Yawn...

Do you ever have one of those weekends where you do as little as humanly possible? Yeah, I’m having myself one of those. Oh, sure…I still managed to get a little writing in and I even sent off a short story submission, but for the most part, I’m doing everything in my power to have a lazy weekend.

It hasn’t been easy, my day job had a few needs, but nothing too taxing. I think it’s good to have a few days where you can just let your mind kind of....go into idle mode every once in a while. The opportunity doesn’t present itself very often.

Well, I’d love to say more, but…hey, I’m being lazy. I will leave you with a question. What’s your favorite “lazy day” activity?

Well, my favorite lazy day activity used to be spending a quiet day in the woods. Um...sitting on fallen tree trunks, riverbanks, in the grass of a small sun-warmed clearing, that sort of thing.
But, for the past several months, it's seven days per in my humble office, trying to figue out a way to make some money. Um...pay the mortgage, car payment, heat, lights, credit cards, that sort of thing.

Good post question, James. Enjoy your nap(s).:)

Oh, that sucks. Summer before last, I worked seven twelves for just over four months. I was a zombie by the time it was all said and done.

The woods, now that does sound like a great way to spend a lazy day.

Lazy day activity? Probably sitting in the sunshine reading a good book.

Reading might happen today, but sunshine's unlikely, unless the rainclouds are parted by some supernatural force.

Reading...with a sufficiency of lobster sandwiches by my side.

Bernita, i can't say as I've ever had a lobster sadwich, but it sounds yummy. could i possibly trouble you for the recipe?

Very simple, James, butter bread, apply cold lobster meat, either fold over or top w/other slice of buttered bread.Make many of them.
Gorge.

Ah, I will have to try that, Bernita.

Taking a nap on a rainy day. That's the best.
